Reliability. All monitoring hardware is industrial PLC* based (not PC), pre-approved by the world’s vessel certification entities, with Mean Time Between Failure numbers calculated in decades of continuous operation. Everything including touchscreen displays runs on 24 volts DC. (*Programmable Logic Controllers)

Ease of Use. NightWatch displays are intuitive, requiring little or no training, and have no complex menu schemes. NightWatch display screens are based on both aircraft and vessel formats; depending on simplicity, the liberal use of graphics, color and contrast to convey the important alarm or value data quickly and without confusion.

Easy to install. Nearly all connections are simple shielded pair wiring. Comprehensive drawings allow most shipyards to mount, cable, and terminate their own systems without subcontractors. For upgrades or maintenance on-board system programs are accessible from NightWatch offices to anywhere in the world via internet connection.

Conning Displays. New optional conning displays provide a consolidated picture of pertinent navigation information derived from instruments which are usually in different locations around the pilothouse and with varied lighting and display methods. Now heading, depth, SOG, COG, rudder order and position plus weather data are all visible in one place.
